The volunteers of the Idaho Chapter of Pajama Program collect new pajamas and books and get them to Idaho kids who are facing crisis or transition. Some of these kids find themselves in unfamiliar surroundings, some may have been removed from their home with only the clothes they are wearing, and some have never had separate garments for sleeping. Their evening does not always include the calming ritual of putting on pajamas and reading a book before bed. Wouldn’t it be great if it could?

Our Chapter distributes pajamas and books to kids in need through service organizations all over Idaho, thanks to the individuals and communities throughout our state who have been so generous in their donations; thanks to our chapter’s volunteers who give so freely of their time, abilities, and hearts; and thanks to my predecessors in this leadership position who have shaped this organization into a conduit for effecting real change. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this amazing network of people working to support Idaho’s kids!

As Mrs. Idaho, Brenda Mee competed in the Mrs International pageant in July and asked the other contestants to donate children's pj's for a Chicago shelter rather than bring gifts for the other delegates.
