Jen Scumaci

Director of Program Strategy and Operations

Jen joins Pajama Program as Director of Program Strategy and Operations to provide program support and oversee supply chain logistics. She’s excited to apply over 20 years of professional experience in logistics and non-profit management to Pajama Program’s mission to promote a comforting bedtime routine and healthy sleep for all children to help them thrive. 

 

Jen lives for the opportunity to assess processes, to dig deep and find what’s working (and what’s not), and to create and manage robust projects aimed at increasing efficiency and effectiveness. More than that, she loves to work with others to set and achieve goals. Jen feels incredibly grateful to be part of Pajama Program’s culturally diverse team focused on making a real, sustainable impact in the world.  

 

In previous roles, Jen has led teams to tackle massive undertakings at all organizational levels. At LEGACY Supply Chain Services, she led initiatives including: Design and implementation of the organizational development department, incorporating a cultural assessment process to measure organizational health and leadership/team training to strengthen it; roll-out of a new company vision/mission/values platform; development of a project management office along with integration of enterprise project management software; start-ups of 12 distribution centers for several major global companies; and creation of large companywide initiatives LEGACY CONNECT (internal communications network), Inside Track (customer care and retention platform), DASH (performance metrics system), and a comprehensive strategic planning process. As Coordinator of Student Leadership Programs at the University of New Hampshire, Jen grew the number of student organizations from 75 to 220 and developed in-house student leadership education that aligned with university values. As a board member for non-profit Seacoast Outright, Jen co-coordinated a Portsmouth PRIDE event that raised $50,000+ to support LGBTQ+ youth on the MA/NH/ME Seacoast, and as a board member for non-profit On Belay, she led marketing efforts to execute three day-long outdoor adventure programs and several fundraising events each year to benefit local youth who are living with a loved ones’ terminal illness. 

 

Jen achieved her MBA in 2014 from the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire. She also holds an M.Ed. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst College of Education and a BS from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. Originally from Long Island, NY, Jen now resides in Portsmouth, NH with her wife and two crazy pugs.
