Tommy joins Pajama Program with over 15 years of experience working in nonprofit and educational arenas across the U.S. He has a passion for working with youth programs and marginalized communities – particularly LGBTQIA+ youth in NYC. He began his career in education as a student-teacher at a Head Start Program in Wisconsin. During graduate school, he conducted research work as an intern on the 2013 National School Climate Report for GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network). Following his studies, he worked as the Assistant Director of Data & Quality Assurance for Hetrick Martin Institute where he co-authored a research report: “Living at the Intersection- LGBTQ Youth of Color in NYC.” His professional goals aim to leverage the use of data analytics, technology maintenance & enhancements and vendor relations to scale and optimize performance for organizations as well as meet the needs of their communities.
Tommy is a U.S. Veteran and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, and a Master’s Degree in Education Leadership, Policy & Advocacy from New York University.
