Chapter President, Emily Kane
The volunteers of the Idaho Chapter of Pajama Program collect donations of new pajamas and new books and distribute them to Idaho children who are living in uncertain circumstances or facing difficulties that we could not imagine Some of these children find themselves in unfamiliar surroundings or may have been removed from their home with only the clothes they are wearing. Some have never had separate garments for sleeping. Their bedtime does not always include the calming ritual of putting on pajamas and reading a storybook before bed. Wouldn’t it be great if it did?
Our Chapter distributes pajamas and books to at-risk children through service organizations throughout Idaho. This happens with the help of the individuals and communities throughout our state who are so generous in their donations, our wonderful partner businesses who host donation drop-off spots, and our Chapter’s volunteers who give so freely of their time, abilities, and hearts. Volunteers are needed! To join the effort, please contact Idaho Chapter President Emily Kane. We’d love to have you on the team!
Donation guidelines: Pajamas must be new (with tags), complete sets (top + pants). The greatest demand is for adult sizes (for teenagers), but ALL sizes are needed, for both boys and girls! Donations are gratefully accepted all year long! If you’d like to donate after the Winter Drive, please contact Emily to arrange a drop-off.
