Maryland and D.C. Chapter
Chapter President, Lolita Justice-Watkins
As a native Washingtonian I had the benefit of growing up in a city that drives on serving others. Naturally, I acquired the service bug early. I can remember as a child, pleading with my parents to allow me to be a candy striper at the local hospital. Throughout my life this same desire to serve others remained!
Today, I currently live on Kent Island, Maryland with my devoted husband John and our amazing child Mason Jeremiah. As a wife, mother, realtor and community advocate, my days are full, yet very rewarding.
My love and passion for Pajama Program started in 2012 as a volunteer. With my efforts and the support of the community, I hosted several fun Pajama Drives including “Pajama Story Time” at the local library, “Zumba Pajama Jam” at Brickhouse fitness studio, “Pajama Tailgate” party at a local restaurant and coordinated with several local businesses to be pajama drop-off locations.
In addition to Pajama Program, I am the Program Director of a Mobile Food Bank and Summer Feeding Program that benefits children through my Church. Our children are our future. If my service can continue to give them a little glimpse of hope, then my work is done.
