Eastern, OH Chapter
Chapter President, Teri Dwyer
Hello from the Buckeye State! My name is Teri Dwyer from Barberton, OH, the Magic City not far from Akron & Cleveland. I’m happy to continue the great work that Patty Gillespie began in September 2007 in Eastern Ohio.
As a former foster mother through Summit County Children’s Services, I’ve seen first-hand the need to help the children in my community. Depending on the situation, children may arrive in foster homes with little or no belongings. The agency provides what is available. Thankfully Pajama Program is there to offer warm & new pajamas for that first night in a new home. Over the years, I fostered four girls, including my daughter Ruth, who I adopted in 2010.
I’m a single mother, working full time at the City of Fairlawn Tax Department & am actively involved in the Barberton Area Jaycees,a local group that organizes the annual Cherry Blossom Festival to raise funds to donate throughout the year and sponsor community events.
I know you’re busy, I’m busy too but together with a little time & effort, we can make a difference in the lives of children in our neighborhoods. If you’re interested, feel free to contact me for more information about Pajama Program or to host a drive.
