Chapter President, Karen Duffy
My name is Karen Duffy and it is such an honor to serve Virginia’s neediest children through Pajama Program. Pajama Program makes the lives of Virginia's most vulnerable children a little gentler and a little happier. These children have faced so many challenges in their brief lives, and the luxury of a cozy pair of pajamas and a book is a joy that many of them have never known. You should see the smiles on their faces when they receive a new pair of pajamas! The adults responsible for their care get pretty excited too!
I live in Burke with my husband Bill and have taught kindergarten for over 30 years. I have three grown children who also live in Northern Virginia. They pitch in to help whenever needed!
Virginia has many kind and generous donors who make it possible for Pajama Program to serve about 5,000 of Virginia's homeless, abandoned, abused, and impoverished children each year. But there are many more who need our help! If you are interested in hosting a pajama drive, donating, or would like more information, please contact me. I love to work with schools, scout troops, birthday parties, offices, and individual donors throughout the State!
