Michelle Bourque and her husband reside in South China, Maine, where they raised their four children and operate a small seasonal ice cream shop. Michelle earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and Master’s Degree of Education from Northeastern University. She holds a Massachusetts teaching certificate in elementary education, is a member of Kappa Delta Pi, and is a certified MBTI administrator. She has spent 12 years volunteering with a diverse group of education-based community nonprofits shaping policy and addressing the need for quality educational resources, most recently as it pertains to preparing young children for success in kindergarten.

As Chapter President, Michelle will leverage her passion for education to extend sleep education via to Head Start programs statewide. Grateful to serve her community, she will continue to cultivate new and existing community partnerships, encourage local book and pajama drives, and execute the collection and distribution of donations to the most vulnerable children in the state so that they may get a restful night’s sleep, because good nights are good days.
