Hi NAME,

Thanks for your interest in learning more about Pajama Program! I’m happy to provide more information about the organization below. As I mentioned, I have been involved with the organization for X years, as a board member, donor, and volunteer, and have seen the impact the organization has had on children locally and across the US.

Now, when families are more concerned than ever about their children’s well-being, your support—big or small—makes a difference. We are at a critical time in our 20+ year history where the demand for our programs has skyrocketed. With support from people like you, we are well positioned to scale to meet the growing need.

I can help answer any questions about the organization you may have, and if you are interested in getting involved, I can also connect you with a Pajama Program leadership team member.

SHORT VERSION (under 200 words)

We all need sleep. Children need a lot more. However, 1/3 of U.S. children are not getting the 9-13 hours of sleep per day they need to develop fully and thrive. This challenge is amplified for children experiencing trauma or unstable living situations. That’s where Pajama Program steps in. We have spent more than two decades working to level the playing field, ensuring every child can have Good Nights for Good Days.

We work with children and their caregivers to create lasting change at bedtime. The result of our work? Kids sleep an average of 30 minutes longer each night. Furthermore, through our network of over 4,000 community-based partners, we’ve delivered 8 million new pajamas and books to children in shelters, community centers, and classrooms nationwide. At our local centers in NYC, Atlanta, and Detroit, we welcome volunteers to join us in teaching our R.E.A.D.Y. bedtime routine and sharing stories with local students from under-resourced schools.

Pajama Program promotes equitable access to healthy sleep so all children can thrive. With your help, we can reach more children and their families nationwide.

We believe the 24-hour day starts at bedtime—because a full night of healthy sleep leads to children waking up able to face the day. By partnering with the influential adults in a child’s life, like parents, educators, and caregivers, we create lifelong habits at bedtime with impact that spans generations. We offer trainings to children and their caregivers around bedtime routines and healthy sleep, and provide tools like new pajamas, books, and even teddy bears that help children grasp bedtime cues and shed the stress of their day.
