Sipping Into Spring, May 21, 2024

Last night’s Sipping Into Spring event at Scholastic’s Clifford’s Rooftop Terrace was a resounding success, filled with fun, excitement, and heartfelt moments. We were thrilled to gather with our community to celebrate the impact of Pajama Program and to honor our 2024 Good Nights Are Good Days Champion, Billy DiMichele. The event, inspired by the beloved children’s book The Hungry Caterpillar, symbolized Pajama Program’s ongoing transformation and growth, much like the caterpillar’s journey to becoming a butterfly.

Billy DiMichele, the SVP of Creative Development & Corporate Social Responsibility at Scholastic, Inc., was recognized for his outstanding contributions to children’s literacy and well-being. With a remarkable 27-year career at Scholastic, Billy has spearheaded numerous creative and philanthropic initiatives that align with Pajama Program’s vision of ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive. His dedication to expanding Scholastic’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, collaborating with like-minded partners, and supporting the development of young minds made him the perfect choice for this year’s honoree.

The evening was more than just a celebration—it was a powerful reminder of the work that still needs to be done. The funds raised during Sipping Into Spring will go directly toward enhancing our programs and services, allowing us to reach even more children and families in need. Whether through our sleep health workshops, pajama and book distributions, or professional development for educators, every dollar raised helps us make a meaningful difference.

We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who attended and supported this event. Your presence and generosity are vital to our mission, and together, we are creating brighter futures for children everywhere. Thank you for helping us ensure that every child can experience the benefits of healthy sleep and thrive each day. We look forward to continuing this journey with you, inspired by the impact we can make together.
